New Delhi , April 30, 2009 – Educomp Solutions Ltd the largest education provider in India, today announced that it will establish a second Raffles International College in Bangalore after setting up first centre in New Delhi through its joint venture with Raffles Education Corporation Limited (“REC ), the largest Private Education Company in Asia –Pacific Region . This college will offer Advanced Diplomas in Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Product Design, Interior Design, Multimedia Design, Fashion Marketing and Management, Business Management and Tourism and Hospitality Management.
A total of US$1.0 million (S$1.5 million) will be invested in the new college, shared equally by both partners, and it will be launched in June 2009. The first intake is expected to commence in July 2009.
With the addition of this new college, Educomp will have 2 higher education centers after New Delhi , catering to largest population in post K-12 market , which has unmet potential of 0.4 million customers on Per annum basis .
The First centre was established under the JV was in New Delhi in March , 09 offering Advanced Diplomas in Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Product Design, Interior Design, Multimedia Design, Fashion Marketing and Management, Business Management and Tourism and Hospitality Management.
The new college is not expected to contribute significantly to the Company ‘s financial performance in FY2010.
