Educomp has set up a 50:50 JV called IndiaCan with Pearson, the international education and information company, to support vocational learning in India. Educomp has transferred its vocational education business to Educomp Vocational Education Pvt. Ltd., an indirect wholly owned subsidiary (WOS) of the company (EVPL). These businesses are now owned by Pearson Plc. UK and Educomp Higher Initiatives Pte. Ltd., Singapore, an indirect WOS of the company. IndiaCan JV is backed by industry-standard certifications provided by Edexcel, Pearson’s market leading qualifications and accreditation arm. Pearson will contribute its world leading educational content, faculty and assessor development services to the IndiaCan.
