As the workshops progressed, initially apprehensive teachers showed enthusiasm. They realized the innovative concepts could be used in effective classroom teaching. Teachers excitedly came forth with their implementations. It was exciting and encouraging seeing the students collaborating with each other. The Teacher Empowerment Program has opened new doors of implementation and the teachers are enjoying these newfound techniques. Our children have become more confident as their innovative ideas have been taken in and their skills have been brought out. We now look forward to our school sessions, by the end of which we are sure to emerge successful in having student-centered classes which will be there to stay in JGS.

The sessions have been very interactive and I must say that I have noticed a perceptible change in the teaching methodology of the teachers doing the Wipro course. They have become more innovative, making the teaching-learning process more proactive and stimulating. Even their lesson plans seem to have more zing in them. The coordinators have been very supportive and I am sure by the end of the programme there will be a lot more changes. I thank the team for all the support and encouragement and we shall make sure that Pallavi Model School definitely applies thought in teaching.
  Manju Gupta
Director, Pallavi Model School, Hyderabad

The program has been an unqualified success bringing in a change not only in strategy but also in the mindset of some very senior and young teachers. Students raise quality doubts and contribute with innovative ideas. Students can represent a whole lesson on a single paper using a Graphic Organizer. The programme improved communication, time management and crisis management of both students and teachers. Students eagerly await the teacher. Improved worksheets and question papers have helped them do better. Technically more balanced and interesting. Definitely, the training has been a worthwhile investment. It should be done with other branch staff too.

Keeping in mind the changing times and the need to create futuristic successful students, we adopted Wipro Applying Thought In Schools Program and there has been a remarkable change in the atmosphere of my school. The enthusiasm and the energy levels of the teachers and the students have increased largely. There has been improved team spirit, better performance and participation of teachers and students. Half a session with WATIS is enough to revolutionize one’s attitude and approach to education.

One technique that worked wonders with my children was the "Visualization Technique". I tried it out while rehearsing for our annual day function. The girls were putting up a dance. During practices when they were given time to rest, I asked them to sit down and shut their eyes. Then I played the music and asked them to recall all the steps in their minds. They started shaking and moving unconsciously with the music. I was amazed. This helped them to remember their steps.

This program began in our school in July 2003 for 3rd and 4th standard teachers. The teachers were initially apprehensive about how the strategies could be implemented effectively with class strength of 60+. However, over a period of time, once they realized that the students were enjoying their classes and the retention level was higher, the teachers have started actively implementing some of the strategies.
