Tripura Computer Education Programme

IDirectorate of Education, Tripura has started Computer Education in the select 50 schools in Tripura. They have chosen Educomp Solutions Ltd. as its implementing agency to implement the programme in the schools.

Educomp is implementing Computer Education program in 50 schools in the first phase of implementation. These schools are located in and around the city of Agartala and in various other remote areas in Tripura. Each of these schools have been given 1 Server, 9 Nodes, UPS and 2 Printers besides electrification and furniture. Each school is also provided with 2 faculty members to teach computers as subject in Class VI – XII.

Educomp has developed the course material for this project and is being used by the students in the form of handouts and notes. The project got started on 1st September’ 04 and was formally inaugurated by Tripura Chief Minister on 5th September’ 04. The project is being run very successfully in all the schools.
